onSITE differs from typical SCADA platforms in how it is licensed and what one install contains. There is no metering by tags, displays, or clients, and a single installation covers SCADA, HMI, historian, alarming, and drivers — components other platforms sell separately. Redundancy runs any number of backup servers with automatic failover, and the claim has a test behind it: during a client acceptance test, operators kept full control of the plant with every redundant server powered off.

SI trains integrators on onSITE in three courses. All training is hands-on: each trainee works on their own machine against a live rig with physical lamps, switches, and potentiometers. onSITE projects are delivered by configuration; no course requires programming. Classes are small.

An engineer who has completed onSITE 201 can deliver a project of roughly 500 data points on a single node: installation, screens, data sources, control strategies, trending, testing, and handover.

2.5 to 3 days · No prerequisite · Engineers new to onSITE; also the course for sales engineers.

Day 1: architecture, vocabulary, and every client tool on a live system. Day 2: from a bare PC to the trainee's own running system — OS preparation, networking, install, verification. Day 3 (half day): connect a PLC and bring live signals onto the screen.

Outcome: a complete single-node onSITE system, installed and verified by the trainee, with live PLC signals on screen.

5 days · Prerequisite: onSITE 101 · Field engineers who know PLCs, I/O, and SCADA.

Day 1: the system in depth — install scenarios, database, drivers. Days 2–3: the graphics editor, from standards to custom objects with full dynamics. Day 4: data sources, control strategy screens, history and trending. Day 5: testing, signal checkout, alarm routing, diagnostics, handover

Outcome: a complete project of roughly 500 data points on a single node, from bare hardware to accepted screens.

2.5 to 5 days, agreed per team · Prerequisite: onSITE 201 · Teams delivering redundant, multi-server systems.

Redundancy and failover, configured and tested by the trainees themselves — servers taken away, workstations switching over, store-and-forward closing the data gaps. Multi-server configuration and replication in depth. Advanced HMI work for large screen sets.

Outcome: the trainee configures and tests redundant, multi-server onSITE systems.
